Right to Repair now!

The European Union is pushing for a more circular economy and creates a right to repair. Here’s a summary of the directive:

📄 A European Repair Form: Provided free of charge, it provides clarity to the services to be provided.

🔧 Repair Obligation: Manufacturers must offer affordable repair solutions throughout the expected product life.

📚 Easy Access to Repair Information: Ensures transparent access to repair information throughout the product’s lifespan.

🌐 European Repair Platform: A European portal to list repairers, sellers of refurbished goods, and participatory initiatives.

💡 Consumer Awareness: Each Member State must promote repair through financial measures.

⚖️ Penalties for Violations: A framework to protect this new consumer right.

✅ A Voluntary European Standard: Ensures high-quality repair services.

🕒 Extension of the Responsibility Period: An additional 12 months warranty to build trust in repaired products.
